There is no magic, only math and psychology

Once upon a time, client Susan Thorne sent me a love letter:


“David you’re a God sent. Thanks for showing me better way of living and preparing for retirement.”


As the great philosopher (and Ghostbuster) Winston Zeddemore once said: “When someone asks if you’re a God, you say “YES!”

Far be it from me to disagree with clients…

Anyway… one of the things I try to beat into clients’ heads is the idea that there is no magic… only magicians.

There are no Gods either (except me, of course)…

Wait… where was I going with this?

Oh, right… magic.

There is no magic. It’s all math and psychology. And not that PhD level stuff either.
